52 week slots a year, each month split into equal chunks of calendar days (not ISO weeks), rounded to whole percent. The Median strip is the all-years median for each slot.BTC · USD · JUL 2010 — AUG 2026 · UPDATED AUG 27, 2026

About Bitcoin weekly returns

This page lays Bitcoin's entire history out one row per year, 52 week slots straight across, grouped under the month they belong to. It is the weekly grain of the Coinfuty returns grid — the same daily closes behind the monthly, quarterly and yearly views, re-cut to show how each year unfolded week by week.

A week's return is its last daily close against the last close of the previous week, in USD on UTC boundaries. The slots are fixed chunks of calendar days — each month splits into four or five equal pieces — not ISO weeks, so every year lines up column for column and the Median strip at the bottom can summarize all years per slot.

Weekly cells are rounded to whole percent to keep the strip readable; hover any cell for the exact figure. As with every grain here, the grid is a map of past behavior, not a forecast.

Frequently asked questions

How is a weekly return calculated here?

The last daily close of the week slot divided by the last close of the previous slot, minus one, in USD on UTC boundaries. Slots are equal chunks of calendar days within each month, not ISO weeks, so columns align across years.

Why 52 week slots instead of ISO weeks?

ISO weeks drift across month and year boundaries, which breaks column alignment in a year-by-year grid. Fixed slots — five in 31-day-heavy months, four elsewhere — keep every year comparable and let the Median strip aggregate the same slot across all years.

What is the best week of the year for Bitcoin historically?

The Median strip under the grid answers this live: it is the all-years median for each of the 52 slots, and the strongest slot is its highest cell. The ranking moves as each new year lands, so read it from the live grid rather than any fixed answer.
